Choosing your perfect photo session location

Where we shoot greatly impacts the results of your photo session. For headshots, branding, or (especially) dating photos, the location really sets the tone of the images, & communicates a lot about the subject’s personality.

First order of business when selecting your perfect Seattle photo location (or anywhere, really) is to think about your personal style…

• Clothing style: what type of clothes are you into? What styles make you feel your best? Where would that type of clothing make the most sense

• Furniture / Home decor style: What type of vibe is your living space? Assuming you absolutely love your photos (you will) & might want to display them (you shall), what colors or scenery would go well in that vibe?

Once you have an idea what your style is, think about what type of images you’re hoping to create…

• Scenic moments? These types of images may require getting further out into the wilderness, so that we have the space to create wider shots that are truly scenic.

• Portraits? These types of images can kind of be taken anywhere, as they really focus on the people / relationships & less on the background. Think back to the question about your home’s vibe & we’ll choose a subtle background with complimentary coloring to your home.

• Instagram-able candids? These can also kind of be anywhere…so think about where might be important to you. Where have you spent magic moments? What areas / places / spaces make you the happiest or fill you with the most joy?
